Tadé drops by for a lemony snack in Miss Maggie's Kitchen!
To celebrate the return of spring, authenticity, sharing, and gourmet delights, Tadé Méditerranée had the pleasure of stepping into the charming kitchen of Héloïse Brion, the creator of Miss Maggie’s Kitchen.
Passionate, radiant, and creative, Héloïse embodies perfectly this simple and natural way of life, which she conveys both in her tastefully decorated home and in her flavorful dishes — inspiring us every day.
During a sunny snack time, like an ode to the Levant dear to our hearts, she prepared a Lebanese citrus and pistachio flan: a lemony, generous recipe, a promise of memories and emotions.
A suspended moment, captured in a video to be discovered in collaboration on our Instagram account. And to extend this journey, we are sharing the recipe in this article!
3 questions to better understand the world of Miss Maggie's Kitchen
Between two zesty hesperidic notes and bursts of pistachios, Héloïse took the time to answer our questions about three values that we share: TRANSMISSION, NATURE, AND AUTHENTICITY.
Discover her testimony, as sparkling and inspiring as her recipe!
TRANSMISSION
Why is it a valuable inheritance?
Transmission is the act of passing something living — knowledge, a gesture, an emotion — from one person to another. And for me, it takes on its full meaning in the kitchen.
It's a way to keep those we love alive, to tell a story through a dish. I find that very beautiful. It's never just a recipe being passed down, but a memory, a moment, a way of being together. These are gestures learned almost without thinking, smells that bring back memories of a home, an afternoon, a voice.
Transmitting also creates a connection, an invisible yet strong thread between generations, between those who cook and those who taste, between the past and the present. It's a gentle and very powerful way to circulate what matters. And it's often in these simple moments, in a kitchen or around a table, that we realize the ordinary can become precious.
AUTHENTICITY
Why is it essential in our time?
Today more than ever, we need authenticity. We are surrounded by perfect images, frenetic rhythms, and sometimes we drift away from ourselves.
Being authentic means getting back to basics. It means choosing to stay true to who we are, to what matters to us. It also means daring to keep things simple. It's about accepting imperfections, following our intuition, and not trying to fit into a mold.
In my kitchen as in my life, I seek this kind of sincerity. Offering something that truly reflects who I am. I believe that's what creates trust and beautiful connections.
NATURE
Why is it a significant landmark in many fields?
Nature is an endless source of balance and inspiration. It centers me, reminding me that everything has its own pace, that each season has its light, colors, and scents. It guides my way of cooking, creating, and living. Being outside — in a garden, in the forest, or by the sea — deeply soothes me.
Nature teaches me to listen, to be patient, to embrace simplicity. It reminds me of the importance of doing things at the right time, without rushing.
In the kitchen, this translates into respecting the seasons, choosing local produce, picked at the right moment, with flavor and a story. It's a subtle but essential reference that I try to incorporate into every corner of my daily life.
THANK YOU TO MISS MAGGIE'S KITCHEN!
For this warm, light-filled, and generous parenthesis.
We hope that this flavorful snack will inspire you too, and that you will enjoy it as much as we do!
